SERVICES
DERMAL FILLER
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, enhance facial contours, and soften the appearance of lines and folds. They may be used in areas such as the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, and under-eye area to create subtle structure, balance, and rejuvenation.
Results are visible following treatment and continue to settle as swelling resolves. Longevity varies depending on the product used, treatment area, amount injected, and individual factors.
DERMAL FILLER CARE
BEFORE DERMAL FILLER
At MAISON 627, safety and informed care are the foundation of every treatment. Before receiving dermal filler, you will undergo an individualized assessment and consultation to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. This includes reviewing your medical history, medications and supplements, allergies, previous aesthetic treatments, and any relevant health or skin conditions.
Please let your provider know about any history of cold sores (herpes simplex), recent or upcoming dental work, pregnancy or breastfeeding, autoimmune conditions, bleeding disorders, allergies, previous filler treatments, or active infection or inflammation. Your treatment options, expected benefits, potential risks and complications, alternatives, and aftercare will be reviewed with you before informed consent is obtained.
Some medications and supplements may increase the likelihood of bruising. Please discuss any medications or supplements you are taking with your provider before treatment. Do not stop any prescribed medication unless advised to do so by the healthcare provider who prescribed it. Limiting alcohol before treatment may also help reduce bruising.
Please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin when possible. Treatment may be postponed if you are unwell or have an active infection, inflammation, rash, or other skin concern in or near the treatment area.
AFTERCARE
Following treatment, mild swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, and temporary asymmetry related to swelling may occur. These effects are generally temporary and typically improve over the following several days. Some areas, particularly the lips, may experience more noticeable swelling.
For the first 24 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat such as hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms, as these may contribute to swelling or bruising. Keep the treatment area clean and avoid applying makeup for approximately 12 hours, or as directed by your provider.
Avoid unnecessary touching, pressure, or massage of the treated area unless specifically instructed by your provider. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated the first night may help minimize swelling.
A clean, cool compress may be applied intermittently for short periods to help with swelling and discomfort. If needed, acetaminophen (Tylenol) may be used as directed unless it is contraindicated for you.
When possible, avoid elective dental work and other invasive facial procedures for approximately two weeks before and after dermal filler treatment. If you require urgent dental or medical treatment, please proceed with necessary care and inform your provider.
