SERVICES
SKINPEN MICRONEEDLING
SkinPen microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin, stimulating the skin’s natural healing response and supporting collagen and elastin production.
Treatment can help improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, uneven texture, and overall skin quality. Results develop gradually as the skin remodels, and a series of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin concerns and treatment goals.
SKINPEN MICRONEEDLING CARE
BEFORE SKINPEN MICRONEEDLING
At MAISON 627, safety and informed care are the foundation of every treatment. Before receiving SkinPen microneedling, you will undergo an individualized assessment and consultation to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. This includes reviewing your medical history, medications and supplements, skin concerns, previous treatments, and any factors that may affect healing.
Please inform your provider if you have an active skin infection or inflammatory skin condition, open lesions, a history of cold sores (herpes simplex), abnormal scarring or keloids, impaired wound healing, or if you are currently or have recently been taking isotretinoin. Your treatment options, expected benefits, potential risks and complications, alternatives, and aftercare will be reviewed with you before informed consent is obtained.
Avoid significant or intentional sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products before treatment. Treatment should not be performed on sunburned, irritated, or compromised skin.
You may be advised to temporarily discontinue retinoids, exfoliating acids, or other potentially irritating skincare products before treatment. Specific recommendations will be individualized based on your skincare routine and skin condition.
Please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin when possible. Treatment may be postponed if you are unwell or have active infection, inflammation, irritation, open lesions, or another condition affecting the treatment area.
AFTERCARE
Following SkinPen microneedling, redness, mild swelling, warmth, tightness, and sensitivity are common. The skin may feel similar to a mild to moderate sunburn. These effects generally improve over the first few days, although temporary dryness, flaking, or roughness may occur as the skin heals.
For the first 24 hours, minimize unnecessary products on the treated skin and follow the specific cleansing and skincare instructions provided by your provider. Avoid makeup until the skin has had an opportunity to begin healing and any pinpoint bleeding has completely resolved.
Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, and other potentially irritating active skincare ingredients while the skin is sensitive or healing. Resume your regular skincare gradually as tolerated and as directed by your provider.
Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sweating, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and other sources of excessive heat during the initial healing period, generally for approximately 24–48 hours.
Protect the treated skin from sun exposure while it heals. Once appropriate for your skin following treatment, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher and continue diligent sun protection.
Do not pick, scratch, scrub, or exfoliate peeling or flaking skin. Allow the skin to heal naturally.
Your provider may give you additional or modified aftercare instructions depending on the depth of treatment, treatment area, and your individual skin needs.
