SERVICES
SCULPTRA
Sculptra is an injectable biostimulatory treatment made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that works by stimulating your body’s own collagen production. Rather than providing immediate volume in the same way as a traditional hyaluronic acid filler, Sculptra works gradually to improve facial structure, volume, and skin quality over time.
Results develop progressively as new collagen is produced, creating subtle, natural-looking improvement. A series of treatments is typically recommended, with the number of sessions individualized to your anatomy, degree of volume loss, and treatment goals. Results can last up to approximately two years.
SCULPTRA CARE
BEFORE SCULPTRA
At MAISON 627, safety and informed care are the foundation of every treatment. Before receiving Sculptra, you will undergo an individualized assessment and consultation to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. This includes reviewing your medical history, medications and supplements, allergies, previous aesthetic treatments, and treatment goals.
Please inform your provider of any autoimmune or immune-related conditions, history of abnormal or keloid scarring, previous reactions to injectable treatments, active infection or inflammation, or other conditions that may affect healing. Please also let us know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your treatment options, expected benefits, potential risks and complications, alternatives, and aftercare will be reviewed with you before informed consent is obtained.
Some medications and supplements may increase the likelihood of bruising. Please discuss any medications or supplements you are taking with your provider before treatment. Do not stop any prescribed medication unless advised to do so by the healthcare provider who prescribed it. Limiting alcohol before treatment may also help reduce bruising.
Please inform your provider of recent or upcoming dental work or other invasive facial procedures.
Please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin when possible. Treatment may be postponed if you are unwell or have an active infection, inflammation, rash, or other skin concern in or near the treatment area.
AFTERCARE
Following Sculptra treatment, swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, or temporary firmness at the injection sites may occur. These effects are generally temporary and typically improve over the following several days. Small lumps may occasionally be felt beneath the skin during the initial healing period.
Massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days following treatment, or as specifically directed by your provider. Massage helps evenly distribute the product during the initial post-treatment period.
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat such as hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms if these activities contribute to swelling, redness, or bruising.
Keep the treatment area clean and avoid unnecessary pressure or manipulation other than the recommended massage. Makeup may be applied once the injection sites have closed and the skin is not irritated.
A clean, cool compress may be used for short periods to help reduce swelling and discomfort. Avoid placing ice directly against the skin.
When possible, avoid elective dental work and other invasive facial procedures for approximately two weeks before and after treatment. If urgent dental or medical care is required, proceed with necessary care and inform your provider.
The initial fullness seen immediately following treatment is partly related to the fluid used to prepare Sculptra and post-treatment swelling and should not be considered the final result. Improvement develops gradually as collagen production occurs. A series of treatments may be recommended, with subsequent treatments determined based on your individual response and treatment plan.
