SERVICES
PRP
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a regenerative treatment that uses a small sample of your own blood. The blood is processed to concentrate platelets within the plasma, which is then used as part of an individualized treatment plan.
PRP may be used to support skin rejuvenation and improve overall skin quality, or injected into the scalp as part of a treatment plan for certain types of hair thinning. Because PRP is prepared from your own blood, results and response to treatment vary between individuals. A series of treatments may be recommended depending on the treatment area and your individual goals.
PRP CARE
BEFORE PRP
At MAISON 627, safety and informed care are the foundation of every treatment. Before receiving PRP, you will undergo an individualized assessment and consultation to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. This includes reviewing your medical history, medications and supplements, allergies, treatment goals, and any factors that may affect your blood, platelet function, or healing.
Please inform your provider of any bleeding or clotting disorders, blood or platelet disorders, use of anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, active infection, significant illness, or conditions that may affect healing. Please also let us know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your treatment options, expected benefits, potential risks and complications, alternatives, and aftercare will be reviewed with you before informed consent is obtained.
Some medications and supplements can affect platelet function or increase the likelihood of bruising. Please discuss all medications and supplements you are taking with your provider before treatment. Do not stop aspirin, anticoagulants, antiplatelet medications, NSAIDs, or any other prescribed medication unless advised to do so by the healthcare provider responsible for that medication.
Being normally well hydrated before your appointment can make the blood draw easier. Unless you have been advised to restrict fluids for medical reasons, maintain your usual hydration before treatment.
For facial PRP, please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin when possible. For scalp PRP, arrive with clean hair and scalp without styling products when possible.
Treatment may be postponed if you are unwell or have an active infection, inflammation, open skin, or other concern affecting the treatment area.
AFTERCARE
Following PRP treatment, mild redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, or pinpoint bleeding at the treatment sites may occur. With scalp treatment, temporary tenderness or a feeling of tightness may also occur. These effects are generally temporary and typically improve over the following several days.
Keep the treated area clean and avoid unnecessary touching, rubbing, or pressure during the initial healing period. Specific skincare, hair washing, and product instructions may vary depending on whether PRP was performed on the face or scalp and whether it was combined with another treatment.
Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sweating, alcohol, and excessive heat such as hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms during the initial 24 hours if these contribute to redness, swelling, or irritation.
If discomfort occurs, discuss appropriate pain relief with your provider. Do not stop or avoid medically necessary medications because of your PRP treatment unless specifically advised by the healthcare professional responsible for prescribing them.
Following facial PRP, protect the treated skin from excessive sun exposure while it heals and use broad-spectrum sunscreen as appropriate for your skin.
Avoid additional procedures in the treated area until the skin has recovered. The timing of microneedling, laser, injectable, or other aesthetic treatments should be individualized and discussed with your provider.
PRP results develop gradually and vary between individuals. A series of treatments and periodic maintenance may be recommended depending on the indication, treatment response, and individual treatment plan.
